I forgot my email password, can you look it up for me?

For security reasons, we can't look up your current email password, but we can reset the password to something you know. Please contact our support staff, and have your account's billing information handy.

How do I create a new bridgeband.com email address?

Send a request to support@bridgeband.net. Please include the account name or account number from your last bill, and also include the desired username and password for the new email address.

What are the mail server settings for a bridgeband.com email address?

Here are the server settings for username@bridgeband.com (replace username with the first part of your email address).

Incoming Server Type: POP3
POP3 Server: mail.bridgeband.com
SMTP Server: smtp.bridgeband.com
Username: username

Can I check my mail using a Web Browser?

Sure! Go to webmail.bridgeband.com and log in. Your username is usually the first part of your email address (the part before the @). The password will be the same one used by your email client.

When I try to send mail from a non-BridgeBand internet connection, I get errors.

As an anti-spam measure, our accounts require an extra setting when using non-BridgeBand connections. You will need to set your mail program to use authentication for outgoing mail. The exact procedure varies a bit depending on your email program, but it's usually somewhere in the "Tools" -> "Accounts" menu.

For Outlook express and Windows Mail, click on "Tools", then click "Accounts". Click on your BridgeBand email account in the list, and then click "properties". This should now bring up a properties window for your BridgeBand account. Click on the "Servers" tab. Look for a box labeled "My outgoing server requires authentication" (or something similar) and check it. Now click OK to close the properites window, and then close the accounts window.

For other mail programs, check the help file, or take look around the program's account settings. Feel free to contact BridgeBand support if you have questions.
